To: You, From: Me
I think at some point, its human nature to really start examining the events of your life. For me, this is a journey I have been struggling with daily. We all make mistakes… but some choices, actions and words echo unforgivably. No matter what you do, it’s like a broken record; you keep reflecting over and over.
There’s a lot people don’t know about me… and there’s a lot of people I owe the truth. I don’t really know anymore, who I am, where I’m going, or what I’m doing… and that needs to change. This isn’t a movie, show or documentary. This is a series of messages… each message about something different… each message for someone new… and each message a promise to myself. What promise? That tomorrow I will take what I’ve learned from the past and strive to be a better person. What’s the purpose of this? Maybe someone else will learn from my mistakes, and maybe for once I will find liberation in something I do.
I’m sure even this short message will stir criticism, but I owe it to my friends, my family, and myself. I’ve learned that once you lose your integrity, you have nothing, because your word will mean nothing… for that they say “the truth will set you free”… and that’s all I want… to be free… from myself.
